Beach Fishing We did this for the first time last year and had a ball. Two of the ladies who don’t fish came along and caught fish with light spinning rods the Guys provided.
The beaches are beautiful and easy wading. We targeted a fish I have seen on the Flat’s in previous trips. They look a bit like a bone from a distance. They call them Cow fish and that is a great description as that is just what they look like; a face like a cow mottled brown in color with blue spots. YUP blue spots! They habitat sandy beaches and bays, and like a Bonefish blow water in the bottom structure to dislodge Crab and Shrimp.
They are relatively easy to catch on Yellow CC’s, they pull fairly well and are really good eating. We bonked a few and had an afternoon party with Orlando and Pastor at the beach shack (Cuban Restaurant) a short walk down the beach from the Melia.
